Just thought I’d share a method I’ve been using to hold pieces in place. I’ve been cutting, foiling and laying the glass in place on a copy of the pattern and securing it with a blob of rubber cement. Once it’s all glued on I’ve then soldered as normal, flipped over to do the back and the pattern peels off very easily- no glue residue.
I think it works perfectly as I find it hard using nails/pins and the pieces are held completely secure before soldering.
