I was completely charmed and moved to see this lovely desk in my favorite thrift store. I stopped about 10 ppl to share the experience. From what I see, Desk was made in high school wood shop in 1940, when the young man was 16. And refinished in 1989 when he was 65! Doing the math, he would be 100 years old this year. Americana at its best.

This sculpture was rusty and had no legs when I got it for free at an estate sale. I took it home and got some rebar and cut and welded some legs on. Then sanded and painted it. I think it looks great in my yard.
