We had Highland And Islands Blood Bikes passing by through the storm on Monday.
Absolutely amazing service they provide - Volunteer-Run Delivery Service in Scottish Highlands assisting the NHS with Rapid Medical Samples and Medication Transport

Took our latest BMW RT1250, ‘Mairi’ out to stretch her legs!
7 days a week, 52 weeks a year our wheels are turning. Our new slogan ‘Powered by volunteers’ is very accurate. But we rely on good equipment. Mairi never disappointed!

As a rider, you can’t describe how reassuring it is to know you have an angel on your shoulder. On this occasion, I had five! Our Highland And Islands Blood Bikes controllers are vital. I was fortunate enough to have Gill, Linda and Liz covering Mairi’s epic run. Also, Gordon Scott, who was feeding me live info all day.
But my Fifth angel was Robertson ! Fiona looked after Mairi and I as we worked our way through the 14 hr shift and the +400 mile route. Fiona and the team at the multi award winning, The Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum not only fuelled me, they fuelled up Mairi to!
And the generosity didn’t end there. A massive thanks to the team at The Green Welly Stop for their generous donation of £500 to our amazing charity.

Thanks also for your VIP tour of your award winning and state of the art ‘Changing Places’ facility. It’s fantastic! 😁👍

On the 16th May 2025, 7pm, hear whisky stories from Edward (Keeper of the Quaich) and Fiona Robertson, business partners/owners of The Green Welly Stop.
Join us, TyndrumWhisky along with Ed & Fi to celebrate 60 years of The Green Welly Stop, coupled with the launch of rare releases from over the decades that the business has been in operation.
To accompany this night; we have 5 special drams for the price of £60.
All proceeds from the evening will go to Charity.
Details on how to purchase a ticket & drams for the evening will come over the next few days.
