**A MARK OF RESPECT | WEDNESDAY 4TH NOVEMBER**

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of **Lesley Wilkie, one of the founding owners of The Green Welly Stop.**

Lesley has been a familiar and much-loved face around The Green Welly Stop over the years, taking great pride in caring for our beautiful plants and flowerpots. She has been a valued part of our business and its history, and her contribution will always be remembered.

As a mark of respect, and to allow our team the opportunity to attend Lesley's funeral and pay their respects, **our main building will be closed for the entire day on Wednesday 4th November.**

Our Filling Station and Snack Stop Café will operate with amended opening hours:

**FILLING STATION**
- Open: 7.00am - 9.30am
- Closed: 9.30am - 2.00pm
- Reopens: 2.00pm - 8.00pm

**SNACK STOP CAFÉ**
- Open: 7.00am - 9.30am (restricted menu)
- Closed: 9.30am - 2.00pm
- Reopens: 2.00pm - 7.00pm (restricted menu)

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience these temporary changes may cause and thank you for your patience, kindness and understanding during this difficult time.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved with our Wear It Pink day in support of Breast Cancer Now.

From our fantastic Buy It Pink table and pink home baking to our fundraising activities, it was brilliant to see everyone getting behind such an important cause.

And a special mention to our Partner, Ed, who certainly went the extra mile by getting his legs waxed! We think he deserves a round of applause for that one!

Thank you to our staff and customers for your support, generosity and for helping us raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Now, in memory of our much-loved colleague.

WEAR IT PINK – TOMORROW, 23RD OCTOBER

Tomorrow, we’re wearing it pink and raising funds for Breast Cancer Now in memory of our much-loved colleague.

There will be plenty of ways to get involved, including our Buy It Pink table, with 25% of sales donated to Breast Cancer Now, a sweepstake with £50 in prize money and £75 going to charity, and some pink home baking. One of our Partners, Ed, will be doing his bit for the cause by getting his legs waxed!

You might remember our Big Bobble Hats competition earlier this year. Well, the wait is finally over!

The hats have now been produced and have arrived here at The Green Welly Stop.

Yesterday, we welcomed our competition winner into the shop to open the boxes and see their winning design come to life on the hat for the very first time!

A New Chapter
After 61 years of family ownership, we wanted to share some very personal news with our friends, customers and the many people who have been part of The Green Welly Stop story.

The Green Welly Stop has now been placed on the market.
For three generations of the Gosden, Wilkie and Robertson families, The Green Welly Stop has been far more than a business. Since Les and Betty Gosden first opened our doors in 1965, it has grown from a small roadside stop into a place known and loved by millions of people travelling through the Highlands.
Over those 61 years, countless memories have been made here. We've welcomed families who have been visiting for generations, walkers and cyclists heading into the hills, motorcyclists, coach parties, locals, regular customers, accommodated stranded people in staff areas, assisted breakdowns, and people simply stopping for a coffee, a meal, fuel or a friendly chat. It's been a ride!
And while this is undoubtedly an emotional time for the family, there is also a real sense of pride in what has been created.

Most importantly, The Green Welly Stop is continuing to trade as normal. Our fantastic team remain here, doing what they do every day, and it is very much business as usual.

The decision to sell has not been an easy one. The Green Welly Stop has been such a huge part of family life for more than six decades, and walking away from something that has been built with so much hard work, love and dedication is incredibly difficult.
But we also believe this is the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Our hope is that the right new owners will recognise just how special The Green Welly Stop is, build on its unique heritage, support our fantastic team and take this much-loved Highland landmark forward for many more years to come.

We would like to say a huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who has played a part in our story - our incredible staff, past and present, our management team, our suppliers, our local community and, of course, every single customer who has stopped here over the last 61 years.

Whether you've been visiting us for decades or only discovered us recently, you have helped make The Green Welly Stop what it is today.
We are incredibly proud of our history, grateful for the memories and excited to see what the future may bring.
As we said above, it's very much business as usual at The Green Welly Stop - and we look forward to welcoming you as always. 💚

🏍️ Triumph Motorcycles Roadshow is coming to The Green Welly Stop! 🏍️

Join us on Saturday 18th July, from 10:00am to 5:30pm, as we welcome the Triumph Motorcycles Roadshow to Tyndrum!

This is your chance to experience the latest Triumph Motorcycles on the open road. A fleet of around 8 - 10 Triumph bikes will be available for pre booked test rides, with groups heading out every hour or so on a scenic route, led by experienced Triumph riders.

Whether you're thinking about your next bike or simply want to experience what Triumph has to offer, this is an event you won't want to miss.
