Our Story

Shortlanesend Store is an independent Cornish family run shop that provides a vital service to the community. We keenly support our local farmers and suppliers and have excellent fresh produce delivered regularly from Baker Tom, Da Bara Bakeries, Prima Bakeries, Hillview Potatoes in Allet, Trewithen Dairy, Trevarthens Butchers, Rowes Cornish Pasties, Mr Fruity in Goonhavern and fresh local free range eggs from Carters. There is certainly a great deal of choice and our prices are very competitive!

The Bunnery Bakery - Currently temporarily closed due to running an essential food delivery service during this Coronavirus period. However, we will be back soon! Now with a large stunning new kitchen, our local chefs produce an inviting range of delicious cakes, slices, tarts, quiches, sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes, vegan options and takeaway delights! all from scratch too! nothing is frozen! Everything from our bakery is made fresh and by hand, even the pastry!

Newspapers & Magazines. We also deliver newspaper and magazine publications in and around Truro 7 days a week, 362 days a year! We are lucky to have a wonderful team of energetic chaps who get up extremely early to ensure papers are delivered by 9am! If you would like your newspaper and favourite publications delivered to your door, please message us, phone or ask in-store.

Last but not least, we have a Post Office inside the shop, open Mondays to Saturdays with helpful fully trained staff. From posting and banking to lottery wins, we are here for you in a professional capacity.
