🇨🇴 Tregony, can we send a little love to Colombia?

As some of you will have seen, Colombia has been hit by a devastating earthquake, leaving thousands of people in need of emergency help, food, shelter and basic necessities.

A customer recently asked me if there was anything we could do here in Tregony to help — and I thought I'd share this with our lovely community.

I'm Colombian myself, so this one feels particularly close to home. Thankfully my family is mostly OK, but many families haven't been so lucky.

They say it takes a village 👯🧓🏽🤼💑🎎👥

As some of you know, I'm a working mum, and during the holidays, regardless of circumstances, it's always tricky with work and having the kids home all the time.

Well, today, we were lucky enough to have one of our closest friends look after our girls, whilst I was at the shop, covering for some of our superhero staff, who were off for various wonderful and not so wonderful reasons.

To conclude a day of wonderful symmetry, where all kids played together, and we had a peace of mind, whilst chipping away at work; she picked up some incredibly tasty beef short ribs from MidcornwallMeats&Game and made us some traditional Thai Boat Noodles (beef bone broth noodles, made by a river usually).

We're now slirping away, with sloppy chins and happy bellies. I mean, look at the colour of that bone broth 😍😍

Thank you my darling!

Ps. Did you know you can order all sorts of weird and wonderful fruit and veg, delivered to the shop, for next day delivery? Six days a week!
