🌱 It’s still Fairtrade Fortnight, and we’ve got more than 30 years of Fairtrade commitment to celebrate!

As a co-operative, we’ve been championing Fairtrade long before it became a fortnightly focus, putting it at the heart of what we do across everything from coffee and chocolate to bananas, w**e and more ☕🍫🍌🍷

From Co-op being the first retailer to make all our coffee Fairtrade in 2003, to launching the UK’s first Fairtrade own-label b**r in 2025, we’ve been on the front foot for decades. 🙌

Fairtrade Fortnight may only last a couple of weeks, but our commitment goes so much further 💚

☕ Your morning coffee is under threat. 🌱

Every product we buy has a story. Behind your morning coffee are the people who grow, pick and produce it, but not every story is a fair one.

The climate crisis is putting those people and their livelihoods at even greater risk. By 2050, up to 60% of coffee growing land could be lost to climate change, yet the people who grow our coffee are being left to face the consequences of a crisis they didn’t cause.

That’s why, this Fairtrade Fortnight, we’re supporting the call for stronger rules that make businesses take responsibility for the people and planet behind the products they sell.

Your voice matters. Add your name to the petition today and help call for a fairer future for people, the planet and the products we all enjoy. 💚🌍
