Every year I pull this pic out.

Yes, Amazon does employ thousands of people who desperately need jobs, but here's the thing: the lack of your purchase will have absolutely zero impact on that.

Yes Temu stuff is cheap which means more presents, but that is not the true value of the season, and trust me when I say it's not worth your data rights.

Buying small though, directly puts food on the table of a small business family. It directly puts presents under the tree. It directly supports a small business owner's dream. It connects families who couldn't afford to travel otherwise. It represents the true meaning of the holiday. It's just a damned nice thing to do.

So please, consider just one or two small business gifts this year.
