Introducing The Albion from the West Midlands Distillery.

Albion is the third whisky release from West Midlands Distillery. Marrying together English barley, English ale yeast and three virgin English oak casks, this unpeated expression is a tribute to the thriving English Whisky scene. The fanned box features maps of Birmingham on one side and the Black Country, the home of WMD on the other side.

Why Albion, you ask?

‘Albion’ is the earliest known name for England and the Islands of Great Britain. Derived from the Latin word “albus” meaning white, likely referencing the white cliffs of Dover, the first thing ancient travelers to the Island would have been greeted with.

As En Primeur season unfolds, we’re turning the spotlight to something a little different - beautifully aged Bordeaux, ready to enjoy now.

From the heart of Pomerol, Château La Conseillante stands as one of Bordeaux’s most distinguished estates, with a legacy dating back to the 18th century.

We’re delighted to showcase a trio of mature vintages: 1998, 1999, and 2000, each offering depth, elegance, and the unmistakable character of this exceptional terroir.

Planted on gravelly, clay-rich soils in some of Pomerol’s finest vineyard sites, the estate is known for producing wines that balance precision with tradition, always reflecting a strong sense of place.
