A unique piece of art that people can treasure. Harris Tweed is a high-quality wool fabric which is hand woven in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland, made from 100% British wool, its naturally renewable, biodegradable and recyclable. E

ach bag is lined with 100% cotton fabric to compliment the exterior of the bag. In addition to items available via the website, Lisa takes on commissions for bespoke pieces so you can help create your very own unique piece.

A modern contemporary reflection of our heritage. British accessories brand, Lisa Gibson creates bespoke luxury handbags for women using Harris Tweed.

Sourcing fine materials and undertaking high standards in manufacturing are both loyal to the brand’s ethos. Each bag is unique, individually designed, hand cut and hand sewn with a high-quality finish.

Why Harris Tweed?

Harris Tweed is a tweed cloth that is handwoven by islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides. This definition, quality standards and protection of the Harris Tweed name are enshrined in the Harris Tweed Act 1993.

From start to finish the cloth is in the hands of skilled and experienced artisans who oversee every stage of production utilising generations of knowledge to produce a product such as my Handbags worthy of the name Harris Tweed.

About the designer- behind the name

Lisa Gibson first embarked on her design journey at Salisbury College as part of Bournemouth University. She was selected to show her Graduate Collection at Graduate Fashion Week at Earls Court, London in 2009, this was followed by two consecutive years as a finalist in the Midlands Designer Awards in 2013 and 2014. British designer Lisa’s accessories brand was founded in 2014.

Lisa Gibson Design is enjoying great success with an exciting range of bespoke Women’s accessories. The inspiration for the range came as a result of a commission to make a casual bag for a lady in her favourite colours Incorporating Harris Tweed, beautifully lined and a completely unique design. The bag received numerous compliments and it was very quickly apparent that this style of accessory had great appeal.

As a creative, Lisa takes her inspiration from her surroundings, including colours within nature, architecture, and everyday material finishes and textures. This, together with her love of Harris Tweed, resulted in a collection of individually designed and handmade pieces working with Authentic Harris Tweed Fabric. Lisa has an eye for colour and putting colours together to create her stunning, eye catching and individual designs. Each bag is lined with 100% cotton lining which is hand-picked to complement the exterior of the bags.

All the bags are finished with a distinctive LG brass logo to distinguish the brand.
