After last week’s heatwave, 20 degrees still feels like sparkling weather ☀️🥂
Silver Heights Bloom Pét-Nat 2023 is a brilliantly unusual sparkling from China’s Ningxia region. Cloudy, peachy, floral and a little savoury.
Very fun, very interesting, very easy to enjoy.

Proof that spring reds deserve more attention 🍓🍷

Harriet’s pick is Finca Míllara Lagariza, Ribeira Sacra (£13.50). A fresh, vibrant mencía grown on the dramatic steep slopes of Ribeira Sacra’s “heroic viticulture” vineyards.

Think juicy berry fruit, a little spice and loads of energy.

A huge congratulations to our CEO Steve Finlan on winning The Drinks Business Man of the Year Award 2026 🍷🏆

Since joining The Wine Society, Steve has led the business through a huge amount of change, growth and investment, while keeping members and the long-term future of the Society at the centre of it all.

A very well-deserved recognition from the industry, and one we’re all incredibly proud to celebrate.

A huge congratulations to our buying team 🏆🍷

We’re so pleased to share that they won:
🏆Off-Trade Buying Team of the Year at The Drinks Buyers Awards
🏆Retail Buying Team of the Year at The Drinks Business Awards

There’s a huge amount of care, curiosity and hard work behind every bottle that makes its way onto our website, and it’s lovely to see that recognised like this.

A massive well done to the whole team, and everyone behind the scenes who helps make it happen 👏

The weather says it’s rosé weekend... if it actually behaves itself☀️🍷

Matthew’s pick is Domaine des Echardières Touraine Rosé 2025 (£10.95)

A Loire blend full of juicy fruit, delicate floral notes and just a little hint of spice. Very easy to imagine sipping this in the garden.

What’s everyone opening this weekend? 👀
