May always feels like a bit of a turning point in the wine world.…
The heavier winter bottles step aside, and in come the fresher, brighter styles made for longer days, lighter evenings, and the first proper taste of summer.
We’re delighted to introduce our newest arrival:
Earthsong, Dillon’s Point Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
Introductory offer: £12.99 (usually £14.99)
Sourced from one, regeneratively farmed vineyard in the renowned Dillon’s Point area of the lower Wairau. The vineyard is not tilled, extensive cover crops are used and sheep are run in the vineyard over winter to provide nutrients. During the growing season, vines are shoot thinned to provide ideal fruit exposure and ripeness. Proximity to the ocean provides night time cooling which helps to preserve the crisp acids and brininess.
And we couldn’t resist the label either.
It feels fitting for May to think about the return of swallows—those small seasonal signs that summer is on its way. There’s that old saying, “one swallow doesn’t make a summer”, but when you pour a glass like this, it does at least feel like it’s getting closer…

Rich aromas of ripe black cherry and plum, with dried fruit characters and a touch of toasty spice. The palate is plush with ripe plum and bramble characters, a hint of vanilla and pepper, supple tannins and juicy acidity.
