NEW Spanish wines are in! Sourced on Sadie and Julia’s recent trip to La Rioja and La Mancha with , all delicious in their own way and exceptional great value.

The white Navarra is crisp, savoury and fruity all at once, great for BBQs and nibbles in the sunshine. The red Navarra is oh so juicy with a lovely touch of spice, again great for charred meats, cheese, and charcuterie. And the cheeky astronaut 👨‍🚀 from La Mancha is a jammy hedgerow fruit number full of blackcurrants, cassis, and raspberries! Come and give them a try 🍷🇪🇸

This was a sample session this week with the very lovely from who poured us 8 different sakes, from sparkling and Junmai to Daiginjo from . PLUS the latest release in the legacy series from which was SENSATIONAL, sexy, smoky, balanced nectar. The branding for the release also looks like a dreamy landscape vinyl cover. All coming to our shelves ASAP!

Hannah Wilkins opened Sherborne's independent wine shop 'Vineyards' in 2005 and has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. She sees the beauty of buying wine the 'indie' way…

Vineyards is nestled in the heart of Sherborne opposite our beautiful, historic Abbey. We are proud of our 'indie roots' and like to consider ourselves as being a little different to high street stockists.

Firstly, every wine on our shelves has been tasted by us which means that we can be really passionate about the products we sell. This also means that recommendations are carefully thought through.

Secondly, we 'blind taste' our wines so that the price tag does not create a bias whilst sampling. We believe that this process enables us to focus on the quality of the grape variety in our glass before deciding how much we would expect to pay for it.
