We've had some excellent b**rs from these guys on tap before, but this is the first time we've had a beautiful set of cans from Sussex based ABYSS Brewing

- HERO IMAGE - Mosaic, Strata and Krush hops take centre stage in this fantastically crushable DDH Pale.

- TROPICAL THUNDER - As suggested by the name this IPA doesn't hold back in its tropical flavours! A plethora of hops including Citra Dynaboost, Eggers New Moon Nelson Sauvin and Sabro provide the hit you need!

- HEY MOON - Brewed in collaboration with New Zealand's Eggers Hops using their New Moon Harvest Nelson Sauvin from the Moutere Valley. A base of green freshness underpins the citrus fruit from the hops. Delicious!

FYI: FOOTBALL AND PANGO FANS!

Normally we have been opening for Tuesday evening games. However this time round we've got a few staff on holidays so we can't do this one.

We will however have early opening on Sunday 1st November to swing by for a drink before the match, and plenty of time to stop by afterwards.

Today is the start of the 50th Steel City B**r Festival taking place at Kelham Island Museum until Saturday!

Its always a fantastic festival to go to, with a huge selection of Cask and Keg b**rs plus the Bottle Bar as curated by us! That's right, if you're heading to the B**r Festival you can still get your slice of the Pangolin at either of the two Bottle Bars.

We've stacked it with a mix of classic European b**rs, No and Low Alcohol specialists, Modern European Craft from Italy, Hungary and Spain plus delights from Dundee, Northumberland and Sheffield. A full list is on the Festival website so you can get circling like having an Argos catalogue in 1997!

And there's even more! Not only do Women On Tapยฎ CIC have their own stand, our lovely pals Black Lodge Brewery are there too, along with the fantastic Ticking Clock Brewing and Trig Brewery too!

It'll definitely be a brilliant few days down there, and if you're in Sheffield for it, pop down to see us too! We're only ten minutes on the tram from Shalesmoor!

WOOHOO! Last night we received our Sheffield Camra October Pub of the Month award! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜ Thank you to Mike, Dan and the folks from Sheffield Camra that came down, and of course to everyone else that was here. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Its always fantastic to be recognised as a quality part of Sheffield's incredible pub scene! And also to shine attention on our area of S6, which has been quietly growing as part of the city for a b**r route, or day out. Hillsborough has an excellent array of venues serving independent drinks such as the B**r House Hillsborough ,Beekeeper, Hillsborough Tap and recent addition Tram stop Ltd (pub)

Plus delicious food from Orange Bird Independent Bistro The Antler Enverโ€™s Bar & Grill and pizza from Fratm Pizza or fantastic independent shops like Hillsborough Bookshop Annie Judeโ€™s or Scott Gilberthorpe
Hillsborough has a thriving independent scene to come and enjoy!

Of course though, we wouldn't be enjoying receiving recognition and awards without our brilliant staff. Their enthusiasm is unbridled, as shown in Jess' face in pic 3! ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป

Christmas is a time for giving, and weโ€™re proud to again be supporting Sheffield Shoebox Appeal.

The aim is simple: to help ensure that everyone gets a present to open this Christmas. ๐ŸŽ…๐ŸŽ„

๐ŸŽ How can you help? ๐Ÿ“ฆ Fill a shoebox with thoughtful gifts for an adult man or woman in need. ๐ŸŽ€ Cover your box in wrapping paper, but please leave it unsealed. ๐Ÿ’Œ Include a Christmas card to add that extra special touch!

๐Ÿšซ Please check their poster for the list of items that cannot be accepted.

Fresh drops from one of our faves, Ideal Day Family Brewery all the way from Lostwithiel in Cornwall. Brewing b**rs with British or European traditions using regenerative wheat, heritage barley and whole flower hops from a single farm near to them. We really enjoy their expertly balanced b**rs with a unique depth to them from the time and care put into the production.

- SCENIC ROUTE - A crisp and hoppy rustic b**r made with UK Cascade & Gildings hops for a lovely herbaceous note. Coupled with the fruity esters from the L***r yeast and the time taken to allow it to mature, this is a beautiful refreshing l***r.

- PRECIOUS TIME - A delightful South West Coast IPA, as Ideal Day have termed it! Full of juicy tangerine and peach notes, and finished with fruity yeast esters and a gentke bitterness. All beautifully balanced and fantastically drinkable.

- LESS HASTE - An extra version of the Scenic Route. Brewed with extra hops, extra strength, and extra time to mature in the tank. A little more punchy in flavour with grassy notes and a robust bitterness and a light biscuity flavour from the malts. Perfect for the remaining autumn sunshine or for the cosy nights of winter.

The spooky funtime guys Vault City Brewing have dropped their 2026 Halloween releases! ๐Ÿ‘ป

- BOO BERRY - This Blueberry Pumpkin Spiced Latte Sour is spooktacular! Sweet jammy blueberries, creamy vanilla and a selection of seasonal spices of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. (Lactose)

- GOOSEBUMPS 2 - Shockingly bright green and frightfully fruity! This Lemon & Lime Gose is oozing with fresh zingy lime and zesty lemon acidity for a fantastically sharp bitey sour.

- ALL THINGS NICE - A wonderful autumnal pumpkib pie dessert sour. Moreish layers of brown sugar, apple, pumpkin and vanilla make this the real deal, but the added maple syrup and a dusting of caramelised pecans really make it delicious.
