Shaftesbury Wines

Shaftesbury Wines A little treasure trove of real wines, fine cigars and odd beers. Real wines carefully chosen from small growers and co-ops.

A mixture of classical and esoteric but all with a story to tell.

oooooh, new website!

You can find us at https://shaftesbury.wine/ should you want to, but we'd highly recommend finding us in real life on Shaftesbury's lovely High Street instead. πŸ₯°

Btw, if you fancy giving us a quick Google review, we'd very much appreciate it as we re-build our teensy online presence after the short blip.

DON'T PANIC - WE'RE GOING NOWHERE!

The eagle-eyed amongst you may have noticed that our .co.uk site and emails are out of action. πŸ™ƒ

We're still open as normal, still full of delicious boozes, and will hopefully be back online sometime.

If you need to get in touch, please ring 01747 850059.

Please don't contact us on social media - a carrier pigeon would be more effective at getting a response!

Thanks for keeping it old school,
Alice & David X

πŸŽ… An advent calendar of drinkable delights πŸŽ…

Le Columbier is the flagship red of Massaya, our favourite Lebanese winery for a number of years.

Brave brothers Sami and Ramzi Ghosn produce a fresh, thirst-quenching wine with pepper and spice hints. Fabulous stuff.

πŸŽ„ An advent calendar of drinkable delights πŸŽ„

We always try to do something different to the mainstream when it comes to whisky, and the Cask selections from A.D Rattray defintely fit the bill.

Their Speyside bottling is finished in Sherfy wood, giving a delicious hint of spice.

🎁 An advent calendar of drinkable delights 🎁

If you can't drink delicious port at Christmas, when can you? Although the contents are Tawny, and thus don't actually need decanting, the decanter does makes a pretty flashy gift.

When we rave about a new world wine, you know it's got to be good, so Risky Business from Margaret River, renowned for its world class Chardonnay, is a great shout for a refined, dry-yet-opulent white.

Our friends at Stone Daisy Brewery make delicious beer that are popular all year round, so we'd advise stocking up (see what we did there!) for the festive period.

πŸŽ„ An advent calendar of drinkable delights πŸŽ„

Who doesn't love a brandy when the weather is miserable? Baron de Sigognac V.S is as smooth as a baby's you-know-where, delicate yet rich with just the right amount of spice.

🀢 An advent calendar of drinkable delights 🀢

Another wine that comes to us from our man in France Daniel Lambert, this is Haut-Medoc loveliness at a very tasty case price of Β£99 for six.

Expect 'classic Claret' flavours of firm blackberry and redcurrant as well as a teeny touch of cedar and violet.
