**Business Update**

Some of you may have heard of the upcoming changes within the business... for those who haven't Mike & Debbie are finally retiring 🥳 Debbie will be hanging up her apron on the 15th November ... whilst this will finally be Mike's last Christmas... I know he has said this for years, but this time it's true! After 50 years behind that counter, I think we all agree he's earned this one!!

This is not the end though... he leaves the butchers in some strong and capable hands, with Rachael & the team, and we will all endeavour to give the great product and service you are used to.

Tying in with this retirement, is another departure - after 60 years with SPAR, we are moving on to a new symbol group. We hope this will bring additional benefits to the community of Saltburn and we will continue to serve you daily.

Picture purely for attention as I am in Tenerife at the moment and I don't have a photo Mum & Dad approve of 🙈🤣

Our trip back to the 80s sparked some brilliant memories – and we loved seeing your own SPAR throwbacks appearing in the comments! 📸💚

As we celebrate 70 years of SPAR in the UK, it feels like the perfect time to share a few of them.

A huge thank you to Nick for sharing photos from his family’s incredible 44 years running SPAR stores in Durrington and Boscombe Down, to Nykki for this brilliant holiday snap outside a SPAR in Austria in the 80s, and to SPAR Ballingarry for sharing a fantastic throwback of their store.

70 years means a lot of memories – and we love hearing the stories behind them. 💚

Thanks to everyone who shared a little piece of SPAR history with us.
