Hmm, Hangy McSignface has been quiet for a few days. Turns out he was returned home by his kidnappers but not in a good way. He’s battered and bruised and certainly not up for being rehung.

Poor Hangy. He’s being looked after brilliantly at and enjoying a whisky for medicinal purposes obvs ( not usually allowed for human patients but hanging signs get special dispensation) He’s home and wants to feel loved by something local hence the whisky but it’s not looking good. He may have to go into the retirement home for stolen and damaged signs. (That’s the courtyard).

Watch this space.

We’ve done another thing!

Our beautiful vaulted-ceiling room in our cottage has been transformed into a proper little retreat. A really calm and characterful space overlooking the courtyard where you can host a private tasting, a pop up supper or just book it for a meeting. We will also be using it as a special place for smaller events.

It’s also a great place to hide away from everyone and everything!

Wow, he gets around doesn’t he?

Hangy McSignface had a lovely time at the pyramids and his kidnappers even released him for long enough to explore the souks where he found himself a rather dashing red velvet smoking jacket. It rather suits him.

It now appears that he’s on the next leg of his journey. Who knows where to……..

Everyone is coming in and asking if we have our sign back. We love that so many people care. But nope. There’s now a large gaping hole in the frame from which it was kicked and taken.

Please, if you recognise these jokers, let us know. Aside from stealing our sign they also climbed onto the roof and broke roof tiles on a 600 year old listed building.

Help find our sign which it sounds from the video, is sitting in someone’s room as a trophy. Scroll through for some rather grainy stills and have your sound on for the video where some particularly military jargon may help provide clues.

Some people live vicariously through their children, I seem to be living vicariously through our stolen hanging sign.

Hangy McSignface is visiting the pyramids for me on his daily 5 minute release by his captors. I’ve always wanted to go so this will have to do for now.

If you know where Hangy is or who took him, please let us know. There is literally a gaping hole in our lives (and shopfront) without him
