We’ve had a few people drop out of tonight’s mega tasting with Brett Schutz, senior winemaker at Australia’s legendary Peter Lehmann Wines.

So if you’d like last minute tickets for a tasting of 8 fantastic wines, give us a shout. Visiting winemakers always do the best tasting!

It’s the International Wine Challenge Industry Awards ceremony tonight at The Guildhall in London.

We’re a finalist for Single Site Retailer of the Year. That’s in the whole country! Little old us up against some heavy hitters in the wine trade.

I’d like to say it doesn’t matter if we don’t win (I’ll still be gutted) but it’s amazing to have got this far. The team deserve a night out so please bear with us as we close a little early and get our black tie paraphernalia on and head to the big smoke.

This week’s By The Glass list and woah, some proper treats on here including a Fernao Pires from Portugal and a Koshu from Japan. I mean, what??? Where else would you find Japanese wine available by the glass??

A real highlight as well though is the Lyme Bay Sauvignon Blanc. English Sauvignon and better than a lot of Sancerre! We love it.
