We’re delighted to share that OurCoop has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise, for promoting opportunity 👑

This recognition celebrates the real, lasting impact of our work to improve social mobility and create opportunities for those who need them most.
Through initiatives like Bright Future Co-op - supporting survivors of modern slavery into employment, and Fairer Futures - helping young people to overcome barriers such as disability and social anxiety alongside Miss Macaroon, and Access to Work - encouraging equal access to employment and supporting those recovering from adverse conditions, we’re working to break cycles of disadvantage and build brighter, more sustainable futures.

This award belongs to every colleague, partner and member who has helped make these programmes possible. Together, we’ve supported over 160 people into meaningful employment - and we’re just getting started.

Following the merger between Central Co‑op, The Midcounties Co‑operative and Chelmsford Star Co‑operative in January, this is our first meeting as OurCoop.
