🍇 The Art of Winemaking 🍷

Ever wondered how grapes become your favourite glass of wine? Here’s a little insight into the craftsmanship behind each bottle...

1. Harvesting – Grapes are picked at their peak, either by hand or machine. Timing is everything, as ripeness affects the wine’s flavour, sweetness, and acidity.

2. Crushing & Pressing – Red wines keep the skins on for colour and tannins, while white wines are usually pressed straight away to separate juice from skins.

3. Fermentation – Natural or added yeasts convert sugar into alcohol. This is where the magic begins – flavours start to form and develop.

4. Ageing – Wines are matured in stainless steel, oak barrels, or bottles. This stage can add depth, spice, or creaminess depending on the method used.

5. Bottling – After filtering and stabilising, the wine is bottled and ready for you to enjoy, though some bottles benefit from a little more rest.
