Today is our last trading day. We close at 2pm to start closing everything down and begin stock-taking.
The Post Office will be open until 1.30pm but please note after our last postal collection we will not be accepting anything that needs to leave by post ie post and cheque envelopes, so please make sure you get anything like that here by 11am.

If you haven't already, please make sure you pay your paper bill today.

At long last I can announce (with crossed fingers as contracts are not yet signed!) that we will cease trading on Saturday 6 July at 2pm.

The shop will open under new owners in due course. I will pass on any communication I receive from them.

Please ensure your paper bill, if you have one, is paid up to the 6th by the time we close. I will return any unused prepaid vouchers to you by Saturday at the latest. Our last deliveries will be on Saturday morning.

So we will re-open on Thursday for just 3 days. During those days we will be selling off our stock as follows -
10% off price-marked alcohol
20% off everything else except for the following
which are not part of the sale -
Newspapers and Magazines
Riverside cards (main card stand and

Fresh milk and bread (until Saturday)

MONDAY 1st -WEDNESDAY 3rd JULY
Please note we will be CLOSED for these three days next week for work on our electrics.
I will open the door for people to collect or buy newspapers only between 10-11 each day. You will not be able to enter the shop. If you could have the exact money that would be very helpful.

Papers will be delivered as usual.

We will be having an electrical survey carried out on Tuesday and our electric will be on and off for most of the day.
We will therefore be open until 12 noon only, with whatever services are available and for papers to be collected.
