Spar Hambleton Spar Hambleton / Hambleton Service Station is a 3000sq ft. convenience store and Texaco fuel station. Available 7 days a week for all your essential needs

Hambleton Service Station is an independently owned and operated business, since opening in 1988 the business has undergone many changes. The forecourt shop has changed many times, going from a very basic petrol station shop that sold fuel and a few sweets to a top of the range purpose designed Spar Convenience Store.

28th of July 2006 saw the opening of the Spar Store after an investment in the

region of £500,000. to increase the store size and a complete refit. The Spar Store is now at the forefront of convenience retailing, with the first in the area Chilled alcohol room. All the beers white wines ciders Alco pops and champagne’s are kept chilled to around 10 Oc even the full case deals are all chilled. It does not stop there; we also now sell tasty rotisserie chickens, hot pies and sausage rolls Bacon sizzlers from the food to go display. French bread, Parisians doughnuts choc chip cookies are all available freshly made in store every day. As you would expect we sell all the essential groceries you would require from a Spar store. Our chilled food display has been increased to cover a full range of Dairy and fresh products. We even sell fresh ground cups of coffee from our bean to cup machine. And I have to say the cappuccino tastes fantastic. We have recently added two post office counters to the store. Local Post Office services are now available 7 days a week in line with the store opening hours. Why not call in and have a look for yourself, Gabs the manageress will be very pleased to see you. Gone too soon. Cracked under the pressure (literally).

Unfortunately, our 1kg Gold Bunny has suffered a tragic accident and is no longer fit for raffling. We suspect foul play from the Easter chicks, but investigations are ongoing. 🐣🔍

BUT DON’T WORRY!
The raffle is still going ahead! The lucky winner will now get to choose Easter eggs up to the value of £50 (RRP) instead. So still plenty of chocolatey goodness to be had! 🥚🍬

The Easter egg situation has… escalated.

We sold a few.
We restocked.
And now we have EVEN MORE.

It’s like they’re breeding back there. We’re starting to suspect the Creme Eggs have gone rogue and are multiplying when we’re not looking. 🫣

We’ve tried everything:
✅ Eating them ourselves
✅ Bribing customers with Mini Eggs
✅ Offering them to passing dogs (turns out that’s frowned upon)
✅ Praying to the Easter Bunny for mercy

💥 Still here. Still way too many eggs.

This week, we are delighted to celebrate SPAR UK and Marie Curie UK's milestone £4 million achievement. That’s enough to help fund 173,000 hours of vital Marie Curie nursing care. Since 2017, SPAR UK stores across the UK have supported the Great Daffodil Appeal, tackled physical challenges, hosted store fundraising events and sold millions of sandwiches featuring Marie Curie nurses. During the pandemic, SPAR UK delivered over 1 million pieces of PPE, supporting Marie Curie nurses working on the frontline.

A huge thank you to everyone to has contributed to this milestone and supported our partnership. We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together!
