Mixing up the nations here by having a chicken & chorizo paella 🥘 with a Georgian 🇬🇪 wine from the Found collection from

The wine is a great entry level wine if you’ve not tried any wine from Georgia before as some can be a little on the funky side as they use a lot of ancient and natural methods in their wine making but this is really approachable and soft but with a subtle fruity flavour.

Went well with the paella too

A well rounded and medium to full bodied Carignan from paired with a pork loin steak with carrot, parsnip and potato mash & greens.

I had the most amazing weekend
It was lovely to have an extra few days off but I’m looking forward to seeing you all back in the shop this week.

The weathers supposed to be great this weekend, perfect for drinking wine and beer. We also have a few spaces left on our Portuguese Sunday Sessions so please let me know if you’d like to come by dropping me a message.

For our Sunday Session this time around we are heading to Southern Portugal to explore 4 wines from two of their regions.

This session will be presented by our supplier and they have some fantastic, reasonably priced wines for you to try.

One of the most depressing images of our modern profligacy is the waste strewn field on the Monday morning after a big music festival (250,000 tents pa going to landfill each summer in the UK alone) so, thank you for bringing in a tent buy back scheme.

Under the scheme, customers have until 13 September to bring their eligible tents (10 major types) back to Decathlon UK stores for trade-in. They will receive a gift card amounting to the full amount they spent on the tent in the first instance, regardless of wear and tear. The tents will be refurbished, cleaned and resold via Decathlon’s ‘Second Life’ resale platform.

It’s Wine Wednesday at Southsea Spirit, so come down and celebrate making it to hump day with wines chosen by the lovely Lucy from 🌊

This week on the menu we’ve got Adega Ponte de Lima Rosé - pale salmon in colour, this Vinho Verde rosé is dry and refreshing with delicate flavours of red fruits and wild red berries.

And for the red fans we have a French Merlot - La Girouette. Think jammy blackberry and juicy plum with creamy tannins.
