Howells Newsagents, Porth, Rhondda HOWELLS NEWSAGENTS There has been a Newsagents shop at these premises for over 100 years.

In 1972 Les & Beryl Howells bought the business from the prevoius owner, and it's still being run as a family concern with us celebrating 50 years in July 2022!

Despite an earlier Post saying that the Shop was closing for good, IAN and I are still in the Shop on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 12 noon, for any Recycling, Food Waste or DOG Bags should any be required.
We are also still selling off any Stock we have left such as Stationary.
Our Bic Ballpoint Pens are only 50p
IAN saw the same Pens on Sale in a Motorway Sevices last week at £1.75 ! That is a ridiculous price !
If you only want to get just a Roll of Sellotape ready for wrapping your Christmas Presents, please call in, it would be great to see anyone.

We will be closing the Shop for good on Friday 12th July 2024.
It has been 52 years since our Parents bought the Shop, and sadly neither of us are getting any younger.
We have lots of Stationary, Models, Toys, Wool, Knitting Patterns, and Greetings Cards to name but a few, all at 50% off the already reduced prices.
If you want to stock up on any of these items, you have only until 12th July to do so.
Our Shop opening times are 8.30am to 12noon, Tuesdays to Fridays.
We want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us over the years.
