Dear Glyncoch Community,
After 28 years serving you, with a heavy heart, we announce the closing of this Spar branch today and a transfer of ownership to sister stores of FAMILY SHOPPER LLWYDCOED AND ONESTOP TRAMWAY who will be trading under ONESTOP approximately from MAY 2025 onwards.
The shop, first traded as Patel General Store in1996 , has been not only our bread and butter but also an integral part of our adulthood. As you know, we lived in the flat above the shop after we were married in 1996 and before long, we were blessed with three beautiful children. You have welcomed us into the community with open arms and supported us from the very beginning. Your support has helped us do what we love to do best everyday - serving the community. You have helped us grow, build character and most importantly form some lasting friendships with yourselves.
We have also been fortunate to have some amazing, kind, resilient staff that have worked for us over the years. We had joy watching some of you mature during your time with us and move onto greater things.
Mr Gurmeet and Mrs Gagan will be carrying out a new refit and rebrand on this property before opening the business to you soon. I am sure you are excited to explore the new shop and that you will provide the same support and loyalty you have shown us to the new owners.
Thank you so much for being such an integral part of our lives. It has been an absolute pleasure serving all of you.
