Farewell and good luck šŸ€

It's the end of an era! šŸŒŸ Lauren is working her final shift with us today at our Pencoed shop. She is moving on to a new job after 4 fantastic years working across the two shops. Thank you for all your hard work, Lauren, and best of luck for the future from everyone at Dai's and Total Recoil Pencoed! šŸ’

Drop her a message below to wish her luck!"

Aw, this was a photo from her first day with us ā¤ļø

We've also got 2x Aptamil 1, from birth. 31/10/26

We've got around 12 jars of Heinz baby food suitable for babies aged 7 months and over, and we'd rather they went to a family who could use them than go to waste. šŸ„°

šŸ’• Flavours available:
šŸ— Sunday Chicken Dinner ā€” best before October 2026
šŸ§€šŸ… Cheese & Tomato Pasta Stars ā€” best before December 2026

If they'd be helpful to your family, please send us a private message. No judgement, no awkward questions ā€” just a little community kindness. ā¤ļø

šŸ“ Collection from DAIS.

Please share in case someone locally could use them. šŸ’•

COLLECTORS ā€” WEā€™VE MADE YOU A THING. šŸ‘€

We keep getting asked what PokĆ©mon weā€™ve got, whatā€™s coming in, whether we can find specific products, whether weā€™ve seen certain figures, blind boxes, cards, collectablesā€¦

So rather than answering the same questions 47 times a week, weā€™ve made Pack Animals.

Itā€™s our new WhatsApp community for people into:

PokĆ©mon ā€¢ Lorcana ā€¢ One Piece ā€¢ Magic ā€¢ Football Cards ā€¢ Figures ā€¢ Blind Boxes ā€¢ Collectables ā€¢ Weird Stuff

Itā€™s not just another sales feed either.

Thereā€™s a proper community chat for showing pulls, collections, asking questions, finding things, talking absolute rubbish about expensive cardboard and generally enabling each other.

Weā€™ll also chuck in new stock, restocks, things we can source and interesting stuff before it disappears.

If collecting things has become slightly more serious than you originally intendedā€¦ youā€™ll probably fit in.

šŸ’™šŸ’› A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR CUSTOMERS

The road is finally OPEN again and we canā€™t tell you how good it feels to see the cars coming back and the shop busy again! šŸ„¹šŸ™Œ

But before we get carried away celebratingā€¦ we really need to say THANK YOU

The last couple of weeks have been tough. The road closure made it harder for people to get to us, and we genuinely didnā€™t know how it was going to go.

But so many of you went out of your way to come in and support us. ā¤ļø

Some of you came in and bought things you wouldnā€™t normally buy, just because you wanted to support the shop.

Our regular customers went above and beyond too ā€” coming in more often, picking up extras, stocking up and making sure we knew you were still there. šŸ„¹

We noticed.
We appreciated it.
And honestly, it kept us going. ā¤ļø

Every PokĆ©mon pack, every bag of sweets, every drink, every v**e, every little purchase ā€” it all made a difference.

And to everyone who said ā€œWeā€™ve come in to support youā€ā€¦ you have no idea how much that meant to us.

So from all of us at DAI'S

THANK YOU. ā¤ļø

The road may be open again, but we won't forget the people who kept turning up when it wasn't.

Nowā€¦ let's get back to normal! šŸ˜‚šŸ™Œ

DAI'S is back properly! šŸ„³

šŸšØ THE SHINY CARDBOARD HAS LANDED.
PokĆ©mon and Disney Lorcana have arrived at Daiā€™s! If little foil packets make you happier than they reasonably should, come and get them šŸ˜‚

āš” PokĆ©mon: ā€¢ Pitch Black ā€¢ Chaos Rising ā€¢ Perfect Order ā€¢ Ascended Heroes

āœØ Disney Lorcana: ā€¢ Azurite Sea ā€¢ Shimmering Skies ā€¢ Into the Inklands ā€¢ Archaziaā€™s Island

Destined Rivals also arrivedā€¦ briefly. Customers came in just after they arrived and nabbed the lot. Barely had time to introduce them to the shelf šŸ¤£

The rest are in the shop and ready to go. See you in a bit šŸ‘‹
