Official Easter update:

We’re open Friday and Saturday until 8pm for all your essentials (and the not-so-essentials). While everyone else is fighting for a parking space at Tesco in the wind, we’ll be here keeping it real.

Sunday: We’re closed. Even the fridge deserves a day off from you lot. Plus we've got Easter eggs to eat. If you run out of beer, and snacks, it's on you.

Monday: Back at 10am (assuming the alarm works).

Be smart. Get your supplies early. See you soon.

As of Monday, Dai’s Shop is rebranding as 'Dai-namic Wellness.' We are replacing the beer fridge with a kale smoothie station and the v**es with essential oil diffusers. No more chocolate, only organic rice cakes.

❌The admins on the Talbot Green Hub wouldn't publish my comments today, so here are the official answers to today's local rumours: 👇🏼

Linda, yes, we are a rubbish v**e shop… mainly because half the shop is full of groceries, snacks, and cold beer. (We are still the best v**e shop in the village, though). Pop in for a Twix 😘

To the rest of you who think we are just a v**e shop: have you ever tried dunking a v**e in a cup of tea? Exactly. So now we sell biscuits too (and other stuff, dunkable and non-dunkable)☕🍪

For the parking complaints: You get 30 minutes free parking outside. If you know what you want and don't try to talk to us about the weather, you can be in and out in under three minutes. That leaves you 27 minutes to sit in your car contemplating your life choices 🌨️

👏🏼Big thanks to the locals who tried to defend us in the comments today. Remind Liam at the till and he'll sort you out with a free pack of biscuits.

The main shop sign hasn't arrived. We lost the padlock key to the storage where the new coffee machine is, so that's off the table. But the doors are open, the drinks are cold, and the shelves are fully stocked.
