Organic/biodynamic wine, beer and cider selected and sold by a friendly, trained winemaker and grapegrower. Also stock no added sulfites wines and raw honey.

Please do come in and say hello; I charge for the wine but the knowledge comes free - cheers! Real wine, spirits and beer chosen and sold by a qualified winemaker and biodynamic grapegrower with 15+ years' experience in top domaines in NZ, France and N.Spain. Particular focus on organic and biodynamic wines, plus a few 'no added sulfite' wines to boot, but the only criteria for any wine to be stocked is that it is honest and I like it. I also do red and white refills from the barrel and am lucky enough to sell the odd wine I make over in Burgundy every year with my old friend and fellow oenologist Romain Chapuis. Prices start from £7 and although I charge for the wine, the knowledge comes free... please feel free to ask any questions you like about wine, wine making, food matching and more when you come to the shop. Probably the freshest piece of hake I’ve ever eaten… what a fantastic piece of fish! The scallops fried in butter were bloody lovely too - cheers! 🥂

Unintended consequences: taking photos of the beautiful autumn colours at Wordsworth’s house yesterday and must have startled a greedy pigeon. To my horror, it flew straight into one of the ancient windows, cracking it badly! I phoned the National Trust to tell them but didn’t stick around to take more photos. 😱🕊️😬🥂
