More Tasmanian angel than Tasmanian devil! This is world class Pinot Noir from some of the oldest vines in a very unique and under appreciated region. Perfect summer red.

🥂🍾 Admiring the impressively hand stacked bottles (33,000) on our flying visit to this afternoon in Voigny, based in the southern part of the Champagne region. The slightly warmer climate gives the black grapes that they use for the majority of their Champagne an extra richness and maturity although Le Treizot Blanc de Blancs was tasting exceptionally well also. 🍾🥂

The first in our new series of staff picks called, Pick of the Bunch 🍇 where we pick a team member and give them free reign to choose a wine and another favourite product of theirs to showcase and let them take over our social media and shop window to share with you what they love. First up is our most recent addition to the team, the ever sprightly Isaac🌞

🍇 Clos Mont Blanc Chardonnay: A stunning barrel fermented Chardonnay, big, buttery and oaky. This wine has earned itself the name the G.O.A.T (Greatest of all Time) in the shop or at least that’s what i call it! Stunning example of a big Chardonnay, does not get much better than this for Chardonnay lovers.

🍏🍇🍎Meet Bowerkin, super local cider from of West Linton. Experimental and delicious. Having rested on its lees for a year to enhance the character and flavour it is then aged on spent Bacchus skins from a biodynamic winery in Kent for 1 month before being aged in a tank, 2nd maceration on the grape skins for a further two months before the addition of some local elderflower to add some brightness and subtle floral notes. It’s only 2.8% so you can drink it all day, every day. 🍏🍇🍎

Two winery visits in Cafayate, Argentina 🇦🇷 The first being with their stunning property and their delicate aromatic wines made from different and interesting grape varietals 🍇 from Calchaqui Valley which are some of the highest vineyards in the world. Second visit was to who deal with more recognisable grape varieties in their swanky winery that has a very nice restaurant and wine bar attached. Highly recommend their sparkling Riesling/Torrontes blend.
