Our trip back to the 80s sparked some brilliant memories – and we loved seeing your own SPAR throwbacks appearing in the comments! 📸💚

As we celebrate 70 years of SPAR in the UK, it feels like the perfect time to share a few of them.

A huge thank you to Nick for sharing photos from his family’s incredible 44 years running SPAR stores in Durrington and Boscombe Down, to Nykki for this brilliant holiday snap outside a SPAR in Austria in the 80s, and to SPAR Ballingarry for sharing a fantastic throwback of their store.

70 years means a lot of memories – and we love hearing the stories behind them. 💚

Thanks to everyone who shared a little piece of SPAR history with us.

Following a shoplifting incident at our store on 29th May at approximately 15:54, we believe we have identified the individual involved.

Before we pass the matter to the police, we would like to give the person concerned, or their parent/legal guardian if they are under 18, the opportunity to contact us directly.

The individual was seen leaving the area towards Wash Meadow and was described as topless, with brown hair, wearing black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers, and carrying a black rucksack.

If your child was in the area at that time and matches this description, we would appreciate you making contact with us as soon as possible via private message or by contacting the store directly.

Thank you.
