E Bulled & Sons

E Bulled & Sons Local Village Store and Post Office The shop has been in North Molton since the 1850s. And then it became Bulleds.

First in Sladers Cottage, and then in 1951 the current shop was built by E.J.Kingdon of South Molton, on the site of the Police Station. Doing a bit of research in 1851 Elizabeth Bird was running a grocery and habidashery business from the old shop and her son Thomas was a butcher. This ties in with what Morley Bulled said that his father as a young boy remembered livestock being taken up the pas

sage way to the building out the back. Then Mr Darlington a mine worker from Cornwall took it on being run by his wife and a daughter that married George Bulled.
