Cheque Deposit Information for Lloyds, Halifax & Bank of Scotland.
From 1 January 2026, Lloyds Banking Group (which includes LLOYDS, HALIFAX & BANK OF SCOTLAND) no longer offer cheque deposit services at Post Office branches.

If you need to deposit a cheque you can:
- use your app
- take it to your bank
- post it (standard envelope or for added security by tracked post):

First of all I'd like to say a massive thankyou to all our staff, especially for this week, as its been the busiest I've ever known in 6 years we have had the post office and 28 years at whickham news ❤️. Secondly I'd like to thank all our customers for their patience and continued support as it has been one crazy busy week, with us being only post office in Whickham at the monent, last week for international post, us taking over evri from tesco and also doing DPD etc. Thankyou so much, we really appreciate you xx

Hi, just a little note if your posting abroad, to save you time at the counter, you can scan this QR code before hand and fill in your details for your parcel online, which will give you a barcode for us to scan and will print off your customs form for us to pop on your parcel 😊 x
