We want To give a shout out to Kelcey Gordon of NJK Leathers. Kelcey single handedly changed the entire visual aspect of Speedway racing globally. His impact and influence on how modern Speedway looks can not be understated. Kelcey was an artist, who exploded his ideas, colours and designs onto rider livery in the mid 90's. His vision, and manufacturing techniques really changed the entire style of Speedway riders race suits and bike covers across the world for ever more. I had the great fortune to be starting my journey in this game at the same time, and I learned so much from figuring out how he did his work. The first 5 or 6 years or so of S.F.Racewear was more or less a homage to the work of Kelcey Gordon. He was an artisan who drew what he wanted to see, and then used little more than cloth, french curves, tailors chalk, scissors, a blade, thread and a sewing machine to bring his ideas to life - no modern technology, more or less just his hands.
Kelcey has battled brain cancer for the last 18 months or so, and sadly succumbed to his illness yesterday. The Speedway world was enriched because of him.
To Kelcey Gordon we doff our cap, and send our condolences to his family and friends.
