A reminder that our Community Larder will be open all day today! 🚪

Most of our stock comprises leftover supermarket produce destined for landfill, some of which goes straight onto the shelves while the rest is cooked into delicious meals by our Hub Hosts Vanessa and Julie! 🥦

Make sure to pop down and check the shelves, the freezer, and the fridge - it's all there for the taking 🥫

Join LING & Cultural Glenkens for a wonderful day out exploring the beautiful Garroch Estate, just moments from New Galloway and Glenlee.

Enjoy a family-friendly scavenger hunt, a relaxing picnic in the Walled Garden, and a gentle walk along the historic carriageway to the charming boathouse. In the afternoon, discover the fascinating history and stories of this special place.

🚌 Transport available: A bus will depart from CatStrand at 10:30AM. Transport tickets can be booked in advance.

A perfect day for families, nature lovers and anyone who enjoys exploring the Glenkens. 🌼

🧼 WE’RE HIRING 🧼

We’re on the lookout for someone to join our cleaning team here in Castle Douglas.

The role is 12 hours a week over two days and involves cleaning homes, offices and holiday lets in and around the local area.

You don’t need years of experience, but you do need to be someone who notices the little details, takes pride in doing a good job and can work independently. A full driving licence is essential and while cleaning experience is preferred, we’re happy to provide training for the right person.

We’re a friendly team, we pay the Living Wage and there’s an immediate start available.
