We’re excited to share that the Scottish Alternative Games are back on Sunday 3rd August 2025 at New Galloway Park — just a short stroll from our cottages!

Expect a cracking day of Scottish fun, from the legendary Gird ‘n’ Cleek World Championship to snail racing, tractor pulls, classic cars, pipers, a bar, barbecue, and plenty more!

📅 When: Sunday 3rd August — 2PM (practice from 1PM)

🎟️ Admission: £6 Adults | £4 Seniors | £1 Children

If you’re staying with us that weekend, make sure to head down and soak up the local atmosphere — it’s not to be missed!
