We’ll be serving a choice of teas, dainty sandwiches, home made scones and cakes, followed by strawberries and cream. Perfect for a warm afternoon!

Summer Shindig - Fete & Family Dog Show...Sunday 27th July 2pm until 8pm. This is us, the team organising this fab event. Don’t we look ‘able’? Well, we are looking for some more people to help and get involved on the day as we will be spread a bit thin for what promises to be a super family day out. So, if you are up for running a fete games stall or helping with safety on the road or being a photographer for the day or putting up and taking down bunting and signs or creating and moving show rings or helping put up gazebos or emptying bins and litter picking after the event (this list is NOT exhaustive) then PLEASE get in touch with any of us. All help would be greatly appreciated 😀

We’ll be at Hellens Garden Festival on Saturday, in the Haywain barn. Come and see us to get your Reddingend marmalade , Much Marcle honey, Skittery Apple Juice and we’ll have a few plants as well.
All profits go towards building a community shop, Post Office and cafe in Much Marcle.

Summer Shindig - Dog Show
Get the date in your diaries...Sunday 27th July 2pm until 8pm. The Dog show will be starting at about 2 for registration into the classes and finishing by about 5pm. There will be an additional 'agility' area just for fun. The Fete games, and stalls will go on around the Dog Show and there will be a Tug-o-War and live music later.
Dog Show Classes:
1. Best 6 legs
2. Best Junior Handler
3. Dog that looks like its owner
4. Dog the Judge would like to take home
5. Best Veteran
6. Cutest Puppy (under 1 year).
Can't wait! Make sure to make it a WHOLE family day out and enter your four legged friends on the day. 😀

VOLUNTEERS & CAKE MAKERS NEEDED.
We need help on the day with the Much Marcle SUMMER SHINDIG & FAMILY DOG SHOW (27th July 2025) we would like to invite volunteers from the village to help us in many ways from games stallholders to bakers for the cake sales and absolutely everything in between. If you are a first aider and are able to be our 'en pointe' person for a couple of hours, let us know, if you are a mean uni- cyclist...we need your skills, if you just want to help with the aftermath then great all help and skills gratefully received. Runner bean plants anyone? We have plants galore for sale at Hellens Produce Market on Saturday from 9.30 till 11.30. Come also for wild garlic salt, the famous Reddingend marmalade and jam, Skittery Apple Juice and Much Marcle honey.
All proceeds go towards building a community shop, Post Office and cafe in Much Marcle.

The Easter Bingo was a winner! 60 people played 4 games for Easter themed prizes, and a top prize of £100. There was extra fun in between with games of higher or lower and heads or tails, and a free number draw.
Players enjoyed tea or coffee with home made cakes, or they brought their own.
Thank you to everyone that helped on the night or baked a cake. Also thanks to anyone who donated a raffle prize, including Marcle Ridge Flowers who gave the bouquet.
All the profits went towards building the community shop, Post Office and cafe in Much Marcle. When that’s open we’ll all feel like winners!

CALLING ALL STALLHOLDERS for the Summer Shindig!
Our village (Much Marcle) is fundraising to open a village community shop and we are holding a Fete and Fun Family Dog Show on the 27th July 2025. It will be on The Bartons playing fields and will run from 2pm until 8pm. We are inviting people to be stallholders. You would need to bring all of your required equipment including gazebo (although we may have one or two available for those in desperate need). The price to have the stand would be £20 plus a gift for the tombola (or multiple smaller gifts).
Take away food vendors including ice cream are £50. We are specifically looking for doggy ice cream van too as we will be having a fun family dog show during the Fete. Please either DM, or respond to "[email protected]" [email protected]

You could get membership of our 200 Club, or see if you have won this month, and find out about the Easter Bingo.
