Hi All

We have had 3 people come forward showing an interest in purchasing the village store/cafe business and attached 3 bedroom house in Dingestow. If there is anyone else that would like to express an interest in purchasing this, please message us. As we are shortly looking at putting it on the open market.

We have been advised to look in the region of £315,000. Just has had a new chimney, flue and surrounding tiles. New oil boiler. New wooden doors. Commercial kitchen. 13 solar panels.

It has a multi fuel burner in the lounge. House could be a potential rental or air bnb let if was not lived in by the new owners.

Also has planning permission in place for another couple of years for a side extension creating a new shop premises and a self contained one bedroom flat above.

To all of our amazing customers:

It’s with an extremely heavy heart that we must inform you that the village shop will be closing indefinitely from Tuesday 3rd Jan.

There has been much soul searching but we have decided this based on a number of factors and have decided to put the needs of our family first. Regular customers will know that Kim has been missing for some time due to health issues.

The shop has taken all of our energy and focus over the last 9 months in addition to running our other businesses alongside.

This has taken its toll mentally, physically and financially.

We are committed to completing improvement works on the house and shop with a view to putting it back on the market for a new buyer to take the shop forward.

This village and surrounding area needs a great local shop. We are so sorry that we cannot deliver on this for you.

It’s been wonderful to be given the opportunity to get to know all of you over the past few months and we thank you for all of your support and friendship.

We will be open in the morning (Tuesday) for newspapers / collection of newspaper vouchers.

Notice of Xmas Closure:

The shop will be closed from Saturday 24th Dec until Monday 2nd Jan inclusive.

Thank you everyone for supporting our endeavours with the shop this year. It means so much to us and a big thank you also to the shop team who work hard to keep things running smoothly and to provide the best possible service to our valued customers.

We’ve decided to take a week off and spend time together as a family which is long overdue after a difficult couple of months.

We will be back refreshed to kick off 2023!
