Saturday 14th Feb:

We had quite a few boxes of eggs, some bread, cheese scones, and a couple of caramel cream apple turnovers leftover from today that all have tomorrow’s date on. I’ve put them all in the red box outside the shop so if anyone wants them then just help yourself.

I am pleased to announce that on Saturday 28th February international guitar duo Cochran & McAllister will be performing in Thurso at Thurso West Church to kick off their European Tour. The visit coincides with Matthew Cochran travelling from Traverse City, Michigan to collect his new guitar which is currently on my bench in the very last stages of completion here in Strath Halladale, more on that soon! Tickets available locally from Cafe Cardosi, Haven and Loaf, Melvich Store, via QR code and on the door.

Friday 9th January:

We now have kindling, chopped logs and coal, and also bakery items & some butchers meat. Our bakery supplies are going quickly this morning but there’s still rolls, a few loaves and sandwiches left.

Thursday 8th January:

That’s us fully stocked up on milk and fresh fruit & veg…

Unfortunately, all of our bakery supplies got wiped out yesterday (within an hour) so it’ll be tomorrow (hopefully!!) that we restock.

Finally, our milk has been delivered!!

However, all of our bread and rolls didn't last long...

We now have bread, rolls, sandwiches & pastries in! And also newspapers...

Hopefully our milk delivery arrives today but that could be late afternoon.

We are open today and just waiting to see if the newspapers make it to us.

To stop anyone from making an unnecessary trip, we currently do not have any milk, bread & rolls etc, coal, or butchers meat.

Hopefully everything will be back to normal in the next day or so…

The newspapers have arrived!!

We are open as normal today. We might not have had a power cut but I am still completely in the dark as to when our newspapers will be arriving today. Give us a phone later on for any updates to save you coming out in that wind.
