It lasts longer, more environmentally friendly, stores well and these little fellas have 4 bottles in!!

Cracking this open from 11 for you to try.

We all know and love picpoul and this collab with Carte Blanche and Christoph Muret not only looks great but is full of character.

Gooseberry, melon and blossom with a racy acidity and a picpoully saline finish.

A great one for when you’ve got a few mates round for a ‘quick drink’

Peloponnese , Greece 📍

Greek wines are continuing to fascinate us none more so than this mandilaria from Markogianni Winery.

Plush red fruits like redcurrants and cherry, cinnamon and cloves and a bit of oaky/cedar in the mix too. Unexpectedly tame tannins. Medium to full.

Great with a bit of lamb, or a lasagne. 🐑 🍝

SOFA WINE:

I’m not trying to match furniture with wine, but I have realised there’s a criteria for midweek SOFA wine;

1) Easy Drinking, lower tannin red.

2) Price point, we aren’t fine dining here and we don’t want to feel hesitant about opening a second or third, or fourth bottle.

3) Flavour, with weather this cold we crave a richness in our food….. and drink.

Here’s a few that match well with a lengthy series, or an average Christmas movie or 2.

Our best selling red is back in stock.
One of my faves, from accredited Piedmont wine maker Gian Luca Colombo comes his ‘table wine’ a blend of Pinot Nero, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo & Barbera.

Ripe black and red fruits, super stylish, generous but perfectly balanced acidity, present but not punchy tannins. Easy drinking!

In a litre bottle, with a crown cap for speedy access 🍷- designed for sharing.

This is a favourite of mine to choose when I’m not sure what’s being served up. It’s great without food, can match up with summer bbq’s or your Christmas Turkey. I’m lining this up for Boxing Day, so - leftovers, party games, mild hangovers, awful films and dog walks - somehow it will go with all of them.
