Introducing our new Collectors Corner. Tucked away in our whisky shop and glowing with whisky treasure, here you can discover many interesting old, rare and collectable whiskies.

Our Chairman, Tim Morrison, has been a lifelong whisky collector and is delighted to offer a selection from his own private collection for sale. He hopes what is on offer will be of interest to consumers and collectors alike. Over the coming months he will highlight his favourites and share the story of how they came to be in his collection.

⭐ Mortlach 2014
🥃 Bourbon Hogshead

The Beast of Dufftown returns... Our first release from this iconic distillery in over a decade has been well worth the wait. Refill bourbon wood gives a fascinating insight into the very particular spirit character produced at Mortlach. “Agricultural” is a description you won’t often find in a whisky’s marketing, however, it rather neatly and vividly summarises the rugged nature of this wonderful dram.

⭐ Glen Spey 2009
🥃 Finished in 1st Fill Cognac Barrique

Characterised as “flawless” prior to re-rack. Rather than mask any harsh or unwanted character, this hogshead was finished for more than 11 months in a French Limousin oak barrique, that previously held Cognac for 5 years, to build layers of fruit flavour and texture upon the light, grassy Glen Spey spirit.

Raspberry makes an unexpected appearance in the aroma of this Benriach, fully matured in a 1st fill bourbon barrel. Rich, evocative and redolent of a vibrant summer carnival, this is the 3rd release in a parcel of sister casks that continues to evolve and surprise.
