Some cider in numbers for world cider day. The UK’s national drink really is cider, our small island makes 40 percent of the world’s cider! It provides thousands of jobs and is hugely important culturally. Traditional orchards are also an amazing habitat for wildlife and recognised as rare priority sites. However the UK cider market has declined 38% in 15 years. So for world cider day drink your most local craft cider. There is so much choice around and real cider is made from real apples and local orchards. Drink cider, save trees 🍏🍎❤️💥

End of May usually means one thing - getting ready for Glastonbury. We've made the journey to sell cider at Worthy Farm since the very start of the festival, and we'll miss it this year. Here are some images from the 1970's when before the Somerset Cider Bus we used to sell cider out of a gypsy wagon and marquee. Glastonbury may be having a rest, but the Cider Bus doesn't do fallow years. You know where we are.

Portraits of Spring:
1, Apple blossom in 7 acres, we welcome everyone to come and visit these orchards and listen to the amazing bird life. 2, Apple blossom on Burrow Hill. 3, Bracken and team who repaired our Cider House just in time for the Spring season. 4, Our 2022 Kingston Black Special, this weeks top tip. Drink like a white wine. Dry, elegant and floral. 5, Its almost the end of the distilling season. Come and visit us before we finish for the year. 6, The start of the elderflower season. We wait for sunny mornings to harvest for our elderflower liqueur. 7, low maintenance grazing in the orchards means you might be able to spot orchids amongst the grasses. 8, Somerset Day.
