We are so excited to announce this landmark brandy. We started talking about it a decade ago when we set out to craft the first-ever Somerset oak barrels. Our search led us to a majestic oak tree, which started life in 1883, beside the River Cam in South Cadbury—an area steeped in legend and known as Somerset’s Camelot. Into the cask we poured our pure apple spirit, distilled from 70-year-old orchards. Over the past five years, this spirit has quietly matured, drawing depth and character from the ancient English oak.

Rich with notes of sweet apple and blossom, this limited edition is elevated by the oak’s influence—imparting spice, strength, and a glowing amber hue, the ultimate expression of Somerset’s terroir.

To honour this milestone we turned to celebrated designer Sally Tuffin DesRCA (now of Dennis Chinaworks) to create a label worthy of the spirit inside.

You may have noticed that our classic Burrow Hill cider is now in brown bottles. We are trialling brown glass because it’s significantly more sustainable and can be made from 75% recycled material, whereas clear glass typically cannot. Brown bottles also offer better protection from light, helping to preserve the quality of the cider naturally, without additives or excess packaging. It's a small step that helps reduce our environmental impact while keeping the cider just as delicious. Let us know what you think.
