Craft Fayre now open - lots of locally made goodies

Just a week to go to our craft weekend.
Lots of beautifully made unique items; fabulous quality fabrics and all proceeds kindly donated by a local lady.

When we found out that our lovely village post lady, Mel had been poorly and would take some time to recover, the Villagers of Cottingham and Middleton joined together and collected almost £640 to wish her a speedy recovery and to show our appreciation for everything she does for us all and gave our best wishes, money, flowers and a pamper basket to her equally special husband Chris

They are back! You may have noticed we have not had much of a selection of Wedon Brewery Beers in the shop for the past few weeks. We have now restocked and the super six are back. Windmill coming soon. The Weldon L***r can be found in our drinks chiller and not got your choice on the shelf?.....look in the carriers on the display stand.

Get ready for a Partial Solar Eclipse on 12 August. ☀️🌑🌍 It will be our best solar eclipse in the UK since 2015 and our next Total Solar Eclipse won't take place until 2090!

🚀 We'll be holding a special watch party at the National Space Centre, with loads of different ways to view it safely included eclipse glasses, projectors and telescopes, so make sure to book your tickets for this event. Remember to never look directly at the Sun with your naked eye.

🕕 From Leicester, the event begins around 18:15. By 19:11, it will reach its maximum coverage and the light from the Sun will dim. at 20:00 we'll be nearing the end of the eclipse.

Graham, the Head Brewer at Weldon Brewery will be at the Village Store stall tomorrow between 2 and 3pm. If you are interested in the brewing process or the ingredients that go into their brews come along and have a chat. We will also be sampling some of the range that is available in the shop.
