The Solent Cellar Our shop is located on St Thomas Street and although the building dates back to the 17th Century, we have a much more modern approach to selling wine!

Our aim is to create a relaxed and informal environment, where our friendly team are always on hand. We are an independent wine merchant specialising in small, quality-driven producers. We stock wines from all over the world and take great care in hand selecting each one and are passionate about sourcing wines from small, quality driven producers.We also have an extensive range of spirits and craft beer selection.

Easter is coming 🐣 🍷 fancy something special in your glass?
The team fell in love with the Larry Cherubino Uovo Chardonnay, the wine brings texture, richness and a beautiful nutty elegance. While the Touriga Cab blend went down a storm at our last wine tasting, it delivers dark fruit, spice and a smooth, lingering finish. Try adding sherry, Madeira or port to transform your gravy this Christmas! A technique to bring depth, complexity and balance. We had a little drop of this left from a tasting last month, not only has it transformed the gravy, (you only need a tablespoon or two) it was a real treat for the chef to enjoy whilst it bubbled away!
