Nine years ago we were putting the finishing touches to the shop, frantically buying stock & preparing to open !
There have been highs (our fifth birthday, a few days before a global pandemic 😷) and lows (a global pandemic) but we wanted to thank every single customer who has supported along the way, the friends we’ve met & all the suppliers who helped with tasting events.
The world has changed since 2017; the beer world has changed since 2017. We now sell a lot more wine, more orange wine (don’t think we even knew what orange wine was in 2017!) & lots more crisps 😁
It’s now more important than ever to have your support and it is truly appreciated so if you have time, try to pop in this week & support your local independent beer shop. We need as many independents on Staplehurst Road to make it such an integral part of the Hither Green community.
We’ve also got a charity cake sale at 11am on Saturday 28th for so please come & support this amazing charity which is very close to my heart.

We are selling some much of this wine atm.

Pepin orange wine.

Country : France

Grapes : Muscat, Klevner, Sylvaner, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Auxerrois.

An explosion of tropical fruit & flowers on the nose with a silky, almost oily texture and plenty of spice and depth.

Zero added sulphur.

Customers are coming back & buying 6 more, 3 more, 2 more…..

Its been another tough year for small businesses, hospitality & the beer industry.

This Saturday 6th December sees the return of the FUSS (Friends & Users of Staplehurst Shops) Christmas fayre. FUSS are a voluntary group who maintain the planters on Staplehurst Road & generally try to help keep our lovely neighbourhood of Hither Green.
It is a great time to support independent shops such as ourselves, & as it can make a huge difference.
We all love Hither Green and these independent shops are an integral part of it.
