The 12th in Penderyn’s Icons Of Wales Edition whiskies is called Copperopolis. Swansea became known as ‘Copperopolis’ because from 1720, 50% of the world’s copper and 90% of the UK’s copper was smelted in the area. Penderyn’s new distillery is in the Powerhouse of the old Swansea copperworks building.

This 70cl bottle has an abv of 46% and matured in Sweet Red Wine Finish.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Floral and fruity. Scent of orange blossom, notes of peaches, cherries and orange peel. Sweet vanilla and honey, with a light spice of dried fruits.

Palate – Luscious mouthfeel. Rich sweetness of caramel and honey. Bouquet of dried fruits; raisins, figs and light oak spices.

Finish: Dry oak remains, with a citrus sweetness and a dust of cocoa to the end.

Doorly's Rum is produced in the Foursquare distillery by which it occupies an old sugar factory which dates back to 1636. This is considered to be one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly rum distilleries of rum in the world.

This distillery is one of the oldest family house distilleries in the world with the family business being open since 1820 and still in the Seale family! However the distillation of Rum did not become as popular in Barbados until 1906 due to the Rum Duty Act!

Doorly's 3yo White is a rum that is finished in Oloroso sherry casks and blended with rums aged from 1 to 4 years old. 40% vol. 70cl bottle.

Coming from the Doorly's team is their 5 Year aged Bajan Rum which has plenty of refreshing Juicy Tropical notes with hints of Pineapple and Passionfruit with a smooth and delicate finish.

Back in mid-2024, we secured a small number of exquisite Cognac casks, crafted from the finest French Limousin oak, and entrusted them with something truly special. Now, after years of careful maturation, we are proud to unveil Wolfburn’s first-ever Cognac Cask Finish single malt whisky.

Matured to perfection in first-fill bourbon casks since 2017, this exceptional single malt whisky spent its final six months resting in hand-selected Cognac casks, absorbing their rich character. The result? A symphony of luxurious flavours – honeyed fruit, warming spice, and an indulgent depth of sweetness that lingers long after the final sip.

Tasting notes

ON THE NOSE – Hints of dried fruits mix with sweet brandy notes. This is followed by aromas of vanilla, with just a hint of coffee and dark chocolate.

ON THE PALATE – A symphony of luxurious flavours. Dried apricots and almonds are overlaid with vanilla, accompanied by subtle hints of warm spice. Wait a while, and barley sugar makes itself known, along with soft dark chocolate. Truly, this is a decadent dram.

FINISH – It’s oh-so-sweet, with vanilla and autumn fruits gently fading away, leaving just a trace of caramel and sea salt at the very end.

Maturing in barrels that once held George Dickel whiskey, this expression provides a unique and captivating experience.

Tasting Note by Glenglassaugh:
Nose: A luscious syrupy combination of sweet barley, delicate pineapple and waves of soft buttery vanilla. Deeper oak spices and caramelised pear develop and warm the nose.
Palate: Robust, white peppery oak floods through crisp green apple and freshly cracked
barley. A gentle salted caramel emerges alongside hints of ripe banana and fruit salad syrup.
Finish: A vibrant combination of classic oak spices and delicate soft fruits surrounded
by fragrant waves of vanilla pod.

Togouchi Sake Cask Finish is the only Japanese whisky finished in sake casks. Aged in bourbon casks before a three-month finish in fresh sake casks from the Sakurao Brewery, it highlights the influence of this traditional Japanese spirit, adding a unique local character.
