Yorkshire Day was established in 1975 by the Yorkshire Riding Society as a ‘protest against the local government re-organisation’, it is now a day to fly the Yorkshire flag and celebrate everything that makes Yorkshire unique.

🎩 Did you know Monopoly was introduced into the UK in 1936 and the very first game was played in England by Norman Watson (the then Managing Director of John Waddington Ltd) at his home in Horsforth, Leeds.

Subsequently Waddingtons was granted a licence to manufacture Monopoly, which it did from its factory on Wakefield Road, Hunslet, Leeds.

Come play this immersive game as Monopoly takes over Leeds city centre up until 1st September 2024 and be sure to visit our shop in the Leeds Corn Exchange and checkout our range of Official Merchandise and ‘Go to jail’ while you’re in the Leeds Corn Exchange with a special selfie spot housed on the lower ground floor.
