NEW ITALIAN W**ES ON TASTE TODAY!!
Happy weekend lovely people! We have been waiting an age for these w**es to arrive but it’s been worth it. Two of them are on taste today - the pup ain’t for sale😉

First up for whites we have a truely superb Gavi from producers Gavalussa. Floral notes and minerality on the nose. Hint of stone fruit, melon and citrus. refined and elegant - for the price it’s amazing!

For reds we have a gorgeous Negroamaro from the Salento region of Puglia. It’s great to see the revival of these ancient grape varietals from Southern Italy. Plum and dark cherry on the nose and palate yielding to cacao with a touch of herbs and spice on the finish. Juicy with a warm mouth feel and subtle tannins.

BREAKING NEWS!! CHEESE & W**E TASTING FRIDAY SEP 18TH!!
Hello lovely people! This went live just a few hours ago and 50% of tickets are already sold. Yes the dream team is back - Cheese expert Andrew Moulsley from Ledbury’s Cheese Pantry joins our very own sommelier Michele Longari to explore a shift in the seasons through our tastebuds. “A Taste of Autumn” is a journey into seasonal w**es and cheeses that reflect this time of year. BANK HOLIDAY? RAINING? OF COURSE IT IS!! NEVER MIND…WE HAVE W**E ON TASTE!!
Happy extended weekend lovely people let’s make the most of it eh? So France it is with our tastebuds for you to try in the shop.
First up for whites a Domaine Guillaman Colombard/Sauvignan blend from Southern France. Bursting with exotic fruit on the nose with melon and grapefruit becoming more forward in the palate joined by herbaceous notes and minerality really extending the finish.

For reds we welcome the return of Chateau Goulefaisan Haut Medoc!! This gorgeous Bordeaux is cassis and plum on the nose with a hint of oak coming through on the palate. Well integrated but present tannins make it a go to choice for roast beef. Really superb value!

RAIN FOLLOWED BY SUN FOLLOWED BY W**E!! TODAY’S IN-SHOP TASTING
So where are we in the world with our tastebuds today then?…Italy!
We love w**es by producer La Piotta and we’ve got two gorgeous w**es open for you to try. Both are organic, biodynamically cultivated and low sulphite!
First up for whites we have La Piotta Riesling. This is a Riesling Italico grape varietal so a softer experience, aromatic and floral on the nose with citrus elements, melon and a hint of honey joining the minerality for a long finish.

For reds the Pinot Nero is again a softer, warmer experience than say, a French Pinot Noir. Classic Strawberries on the nose with red cherry coming through on the palate. Refined softer tannins and acidity make this an easy drinking experience as well as a great pairing for game birds.
