A fresh wine of the week and it’s a steal!! Aubergine Ranvier Costieres de nimes offers excellent value for a Rhone style wine.

All our new wines are now in one easy place!

James has carefully selected some of his favourite bottles to drink in the spring and for Easter too. The sun is out for the time being and the wines are super delicious!! Long may it continue…

Last night’s tasting was a blast for sure-swipe to see how it turned out! It was great exploring lesser known regions and grapes from France, thank you to everyone that attended!
And now on to the next event: Rioja in April!

Today James travelled to Bristol to attend Portfolio tasting: swipe to see just a few of the exciting things he tasted today! He’s had a great time discovering some outstanding wines from amazing producers we already love stocking, and producers that could find their way onto our shelves! Its definitely feeling like a lacklustre Sunday. Fortunately we have just the bottle to put a smile on everyone’s face. Coatières de Nîmes is back in stock and is simply delicious. Will go perfect with your roast dinner today or by itself just because you deserve a glass, which is everyone!! It’s soft, rounded and fruity and leaves you wanting more with every sip.

We’ve had quite a few requests for Cremant this week, so we thought we’d reintroduce some of our favourites that we stock! For those not in the know, Cremants are sparkling wines made in France by the same method as Champagne, but as they come from outside of Champagne, they can’t be described as Champagne-which means you’re still getting excellent quality sparkling, but not at Champagne prices. Here’s a few of our bestsellers: Chateau Moncontour Vouvray Brut and V***e Ambal Cremant de Bourgogne Grande Cuvee and ‘Excellence’-what’s your favourite Cremant?

A day as gorgeous as today definitely deserves a glass of rosé to match, and as our Regional France tasting is but a little over a week away, we’re in the mood for French rosé! Refreshing with delicate summer fruits and fine acidity, this Grenache rosé is a fab alternative to classic Provence and invites for another glass-our kind of wine!
There’s still tickets left for our Regional France event, so if you love exploring new wines as much as we do, then be sure to book on before they’re gone!

Wine of the Week!!

Eshcol Red by Trefethen

It’s been a little while since we’ve had this on our shelves!! We’re soo excited to have it back it only made sense to make it our wine of the week. Made by renowned producer this red blend brings together a classic Bordeaux blend. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot marry so well with touches of Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. The palate brings bright red fruits with balanced acidity and some modest tannins. Great with food but guaranteed to be delicious however you drink it!!

Fans of New Zealand wine will undoubtedly be familiar with Marlborough as a popular region, but this means other regions can get overshadowed, like Canterbury! Located slightly south of Marlborough, North Canterbury is great for exceptional wines made of Riesling and Pinot Noir like this option by Pegasus Bay, which is loaded with red fruits, savoury nuances and a finely textured mouthfeel-perfect for the changing seasons!
