Amongst the sugar in the shop we like to make sure we stock
Tate & Lyle® Jam Sugar. A blend of pure cane sugar with pectin to help set super homemade jam creations!
Fruits low in pectin like blackberries, strawberries & raspberries this can be especially helpful.
The ratio is 1:1 for the traditional sweetness of soft fruit jam.
1 kg of Tate and Lyle® Jam Sugar with pectin with 1 kg of fruit.

Please do try the raspberries from our local supplier.

Did you know that they provide potassium which is apparently essential to heart function, and has helped to lower blood pressure.

It is felt that the omega-3 fatty acids in raspberries can help prevent heart disease & strokes.

Also containing a mineral called manganese, they support healthy bones and skin and help regulate blood sugar.

Now that's not bad for a tasty piece of British fruit!

Asparagus season season traditionally will be ended on the Summer Solstice! Not long now.
Primarily grown in the south & east of England no wonder it so good for us & we are able to get it for Monks Eleigh from a local supplier.
High in nutrients and low in calories!
Boiled, steamed, roasted, grilled, barbecued - what's your favourite?
