Lovely evening was had by all for our annual 'Fine Wine Encounter'. All the wines having the wow factor. Just down to personal taste on how much 'Wow' for each wine! 😊. Barry added in a bottle of his own - 2005 D'Arenberg Dead Arm' Shiraz - to compare & contrast with the 2019 listed. 14 years aging certainly providing a special treat for us all.
Thanks to Karl & everyone who helped set up & clear down. And to , , .uk & Fine Wines for the amazing quality of all the wines tasted.
And Rory 🐾 came too 😊

🐾 Yesterday, MPs came together in Parliament to debate a petition promoted by Camp Beagle, calling for an end to testing on dogs and other animals.

29 MPs chose to speak up, with many calling for the Government to act more boldly and more quickly to end animal experiments in the UK.

Chaired by Irene Campbell MP, Chair of the APPG on Phasing Out Animal Experiments - which we proudly support - the debate showed clear momentum behind Herbie’s Law, with the campaign referenced 20 times over the two‑hour session! 🐶

When asked directly about Herbie’s Law, the responding Minister, Ian Murray MP, said:
“We do not disagree with the principle of Herbie’s Law; indeed, that is what the strategy is trying to achieve.”

The recent Mail on Sunday exposé by Animals International brought powerful new evidence to Parliament, highlighting growing scrutiny of outdated practices and increasing support for human‑specific science.

Public pressure is building.
MPs are backing Herbie's Law.
The Government can’t ignore the evidence. 🚫

Thank you to every MP who stood up, spoke out and helped keep this issue firmly on the agenda.
