This weeks Fine wine Friday is the exquisite Álvaro Palacios Gratallops Vi di Vila

Gratallops Vi di Vila is an elegant and refined wine with wonderful depth and concentration. Subtle floral notes, spiced herbs, cherries and mineral notes lead into a palate that has excellent balance and depth.

Available in regular sized bottle (2019 vintage) and Magnum size (1 of 2 left within Majestic, 2015 vintage)

Are you feeling creative this weekend?

Why not grab yourself a whiskey or two and try your hand at making one of the following cocktails.

Old Fashioned:

1 teaspoon Simple syrup (equal measure of sugar and water, mixed together until sugar dissolves)
3 dashes Angostura bitters
50ml Bourbon (Your choose)
Garnish: orange twist.

Manhatton:

50ml Bourbon or Rye Whiskey
25ml Sweet Vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Garnish: Cherry (or lemon twist, if preferred)

Whiskey Sour:

50ml Bourbon
20ml lemon juice, freshly squeezed
15ml simple syrup
15ml Egg white (optional)
Garnish: Angostura bitters
