Please save the date for our next annual Open Day, here at Kirkwall Lifeboat Station!

Our volunteer crew and team of fundraisers from Kirkwall Lifeboat station are currently working on the preparations for our next open day at the Kirkwall Pier, on Saturday 16th May 2026. We hope to have a range of fun activities on offer during the day. Which we hope will provide a fun and entertaining day out for everyone as well as raising water safety awareness and funds for our local Lifeboat Station 🧡

We’re very excited for our new chapter!
We have very big shoes to fill!
Fiona and Davie have done a fantastic job.

We are excited/nervous/happy/sad to be sharing some news with you
Davie and I are hanging up our pricing guns on 1st July (if everything goes smoothly).
I have worked at Papdale Stores for over 30 years and 30 June will mark 25 years of Davie and I owning it. When we bought the shop it belonged to the people who owned Bruce’s Stores and now it’s returning there. We are delighted that Betty and Paul will bring some fresh energy to the best peedie shop there is. 🤩
We still have a couple of months to go but in the meantime we wanted to share this news with you 🤩🤩

Come along for a relaxed chat with the crew over a cup of tea or coffee, and find out more about the different volunteer roles available within the Kirkwall RNLI. Whether you’re curious about launching lifeboats, supporting fundraising, or helping behind the scenes, there’s a place for everyone.
This is a great opportunity to learn how you can get involved, ask questions, and discover how to apply. No experience needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to make a difference! We’d love to see you all there 🧡
