What a brilliant write up about Lost Loch Spirits. Keep an eye out on our socials as we welcome Jan to the Inverurie Whisky Shop for a Barreltop in May, which gives you a chance to try their fantastic range of spirits.

While some people are "scared" of absinthe and believe it is poisonous, distillers of the spirit say the unique drink deserves more acclaim.

🥃 A common misconception is that the older a whisky is, the better it is. In truth, the age of a whisky doesn’t make it any better than another bottle. All it does is change the flavour. For some, that provides a better taste, but others might find it worse. It’s all subjective and the only way to find out what works best for your palate is to keep trying. Listen to your tastebuds and ignore the hype about older being better.

Torabhaig is a small, independent distillery part of the Sleat Peninsula on the Isle of Skye. They love exploring subtle, elegant flavours of peat inspired by their beautiful surroundings and thriving community. This is how they create their signature smoke flavours - a house style called ‘smoke with taste’.

So pop in past and get the chance to try some of their stunning whiskies, including 'Sound of Sleat', the fifth release in their Legacy series - released on the DAY of the tasting!

Speymalt whiskies from the MacAllan Distillery showcase what is perhaps the most famous of Speyside whisky in all it's single cask, cask strength glory.

Established in 1824 and situated overlooking the fishing beats on the River Spey, the Macallan Distillery produces a wonderfully complex spirit which is then carefully matured in quality oak casks ordered by Gordon & MacPhail specifically for the 'Speymalt from Macallan Distillery' range.

Each bottling carries the vintage of distillation and the year of bottling, capturing an exceptionally mature single malt whisky.

We have an exciting range of Speymalt in stock, from beautiful ex-Sherry casks to more unique American Oak ex bourbon barrels.

We're delighted to host Stewart Dick, of the Mossburn Distillers & Blenders Team as this weeks guest.

Mossburn are the owners of Torabhaig Distillery, and with the excitement of their latest release launching on Friday, we couldn't think of a guest we wanted more to join us!

Stewart will be joining us LIVE from the tasting room at Inverurie Whisky Shop, and as a previous record holder for longest-ever-blether, it's sure to be an entertaining evening!

🥃✨ What a night! Mike had a blast hosting an amazing group for a Rum Tasting on Saturday. The line-up featured some incredible rums: Cut Away, Molucca Golden Rum, Wee Mongrel Maple Rum, Double Cask Outlaw Rum, The Real McCoy, Larimer Peated Single Cask, and Renegade White Rum.

The crowd's favourites? The Wee Mongrel Maple Rum and The Real McCoy! 🙌
