South Downs Cellars is a multi-award winning independent wine and beer merchant & importer with shops in Hurstpierpoint and in Lindfield, West Sussex.

Established in 2003, South Downs Cellars offers a range of in excess of 800 different wines, beers and spirits from small, independent producers from around the world, all hand-selected for their individuality, quality and value for money. We also stock a wide selection of Riedel glassware and decanters, as well as delicious chocolate from our local, organic chocolatier Cocoa Loco. Selling wine to

We are delighted to be welcoming Gary Jordan to !!

Gary and his wife Kathy have been making award-winning since 1993 on their 164 hectare hillside property in Jordan Wine Estate Stellenbosch, South Africa.

However, Gary is always on the hunt for a new project and in 2017, he discovered a neglected and overgrown property near , East . With his background in and his love of a challenge, Gary has brought Mousehall Country Estate back to life, and it is now home to their English project Country Estate and

We will be a range of Gary’s wines from both Sussex and , as well as the products of his distillery.

Trialed last year to great success, This year we are making it a more permanent feature!

Last week, Lucy had the opportunity to taste the wines from Weingut Weszeli, a small estate of around 30ha located in , Austria. Their focus is on just two grapes - and Veltliner, from which they craft some of the finest examples that we have tasted in a long while. Their wines are all organic, and from the 2023 vintage are certified biodynamic. These wines will be available from mid-March, with the Grüner Veltliner Käferberg arriving in April.

Weingut Weszeli is located in , a famous wine village located on the river Kamp where it winds its way down to the Danube at Krems. Here, there is a patchwork of Cru vineyards which have been instrumental in putting on the map as a source of world-class white wines.

We're really excited to show you, our lovely customers, how good these wines are, and you'll see what love, care and dedication to your wines results in!
